Ya know, I've just recently been getting into Dominici. I've known about it for like half a year to a year, but never really looked into it that much. I once came to this site and looked around on the forum a bit (saw a thread in this subforum about some jerk asking Charlie why he hated freedom), but then I forgot about it for a while.

Yeah, so just recently I acquired the O3 Trilogy, and I was amazed. The first album was kinda plain, but it was cool and you could follow the story well. Charlie is in fact very good with the accoustic guitar and harmonica. Smiley

Then I got to the second and third albums, with the whole band. I'm a huge fan of Dream Theater (which is how I know about Dominici), and the albums totally reminded me of them. Really, really cool.

So yeah, I was listening to Dominici the other day, and suddenly I thought, "Wouldn't it be awesome if Dominici released a Live DVD of the entire O3 Trilogy?"

The whole first album could be redone with the band, and it would just be awesome. You could do Afterlife as an encore. It would be a really long DVD/CD, but wouldn't you agree it'd be awesome?

I'd buy it. For sure.

EDIT: Also, is there a section of the forum for introductions?

Hey Charlie, it's Marlon - we've spoken on Myspace briefly.

SO I was wondering, I am aspiring to be a session guitarist and am starting university soon to study music performance and composition to help me achieve this. What is your theory on practise?

I'm sure you've heard the 10,000 hour study that shows to achieve virtiuosity on any instrument takes around 10,000hours of practise. But some people believe that in half this time you will be a master, if you are born with the talent?

Do YOU agree with either? Some people have refered to you and your band as demi-Gods, born with a superhuman ability to write and play so well...

Marlon

Some people are naturally great and some can practice 20,000 hours and still be mediocre.

This:
Everything you have said is true and none of it is true.
By this I mean simply that all things we dwell on such as this subject will blow away like dust when we die.

The real meaning is that none of it matters.

It matters tremendously to us while we are here in this physical plane but in the instant we die, it all becomes as if it never was.

Everything you said is true and none of it matters.

Why were you planted here?  Smiley

CD
Reminded me of this:

"If there's no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters... , then all that matters is what we do. 'Cause that's all there is. What we do. Now. Today."

I stole that from Angel's epiphany speech to Kate (In the tv series Angel)
I think it even matters more if there is a glorious end to all this, but we don't have a clue what that is.
It's silly getting inspired from an old vampire show, isn't it

Oh, and welcome Marlon! Sorry if activating you took a while, I was on vacation Tongue
