Do you think it was an inside job?

Or whatever you wanna call it.

Noticed today that at the end of "Genesis" (on "Part 3") if you turn up the birds chirping at the end, you can hear the first line from "Part 1" being sung ... "Why am I planted here?"

Just thought I'd mention that.

Knucklehead, something like that you mention in a review! Geez, you said the story came somewhat full circle with the final line, but didn't mention a word about this. Odd.

It's the infinity theory, I'm tellin ya. Infinity is where it's at.

Well that's exactly what I was referencing when I said that, and so after reading the review it should have been cool to find out what I was talking aboot. :p

I only noticed that yesterday, like the tenth time I heard "Genesis."

I haven't come across any other nuggets yet, though.  I'm guessing some of them are lyrical, and I haven't read through the lyrics carefully since the first listen, when I wasn't exactly looking for nuggets.

EDIT:  I can't think of another way to say it, so I'm just gonna leave that idiotic "I'm guessing some of them are lyrical" as it is.  Dammit.

My favorite line is in genesis:

"I suppose that you made the dinosaurs too"
"No that was somebody else" ... the sincerety with which the line comes across, particularly in terms of melody is plainly... hilarious

listen again to"Introduction", the first song on part 1, then listen to "Genesis",the last song on part 3. Yes the line is repeated from part one and it is related to the "infinity" concept, however the line is spoken the first time by the "sleeper" guy,and at the end by Detective A.Dam!

Dig a little deeper for the meaning of this. Tell me what you think it means.

he has a purpose in his life, but he doesn't know about it, the detective's is to start life again, the sleeper's was to end life for the betterment of the world. they had or have to find out about it

When spoken by the sleeper, "Why am I planted here?" is a question posed to mankind and specifically the men responsible for his mission, whereas at the end of part III "Why am I here?" is a question to a being that can not answer, "god" or some other force.

If I'm right I already have a part III promo, so set up another question.

Alright, I'm not sure if its been discovered or not but:

Perhaps does it represent the diversity in man?

Look at the context: Part one:

Why was I planted here?
A thorn in the worlds side
working stealthily
until my time arrives

Part Three:
Why was I planted here? but earlier in the album it was said that:

So why were we created
If no hope does exist
Day to day in turmoil
we cannot full their wish
can we all merely be fodder?
Some great cosmic mistake
There has to be an answer
A different road to take

So the sleeper sees himself as insignificant, a thorn in the world's side, something nearly undetectible he is so small. He wonders why he must be the one to destory the world.

The detective on the other hand, is put in place to CREATE the world again. Could it be that he sees the futility in it all? As said in the part three verse, perhaps he questions the whole point of being placed there; what is the point in existing if he is not something significant, something worth being around.

The only flaw I can find with my reasoning is that his mind was wiped. . . but he did retain the knowledge that he was put there by a higher being. I think that it represents the "diversity" in the fact that he thinks "why doesn't the higher beings just live here themselves, why do I have to be a pointless pawn".

It occurs to me that this  is a little unfair because you would have to have already heard part 3,which isn't even out yet,in order to know the answer,to win a part 3 CD
can you say paradox?
