You know, if 2013 comes and the world hasn't ended yet, I'm going to be kind of disappointed.   Tongue

Wait, when did this happen? Because I live in Canada and I was out west visiting family, and I live on the east coast. So going out AND coming back I had to travel through Toronto airport, and for those of you who don't know, its serial. . .thing is "YYZ". And that would be just freaky if the 2112 post was made while I was at the "YYZ" airport "Rushing" for my plane

By the way, Rush is Canadian ( Grin ) so does anyone know if that is where the song YYZ came from? Perhaps peart came up with the rhythm while waiting for his plane in the toronto airport?

It did indeed come from the airport.  The main rhythm from the song is Morse Code for YYZ.  I'm not sure exactly what inspired them to translate an airport code into morse code... but for whatever reason, they did it... and the results were awesome.

Yeah, YYZ has some serious kickass to it. I know the story of the song is in one of my Rush biographies, maybe I'll have to look through to find it.

1 = 1
15 = 15th letter of the alphabet = O
69 = 9 - 6 = 3

115 69 = 1 O3 = O3, Part 1.

 Cheesy  So there's no chance of you pulling a Douglas Adams and making it a Trilogy in Four Parts?

Decided I would kick this thread back to life since the forum has exactly 5,000 posts

I guess that means that I am the jerk that made it 5,001  And for the curious, I think Dimitrius got the 5000th post
