Well, the list of shows I'm going to hope/try for is going to be longer than my list of shows I make it to, but so far I would love to make it to the following:

Prog. Nation - May 18 - Albany, NY
Prog. Nation - May 21 & 22 - NYC, NY
Rush - June 14 - Philadelphia, PA
King Crimson - Aug. 12 - Philadelphia, PA
Journey with Heart and Cheap Trick - Aug. 16 - Scranton, PA
Crüe Fest featuring Mötley Crüe, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. & Trapt - Aug 30 - Scranton, PA

hmmm that's a short list!! I need more bands to see Sad

anyway, what about you?

Poison just announced their US summer tour. So far Scranton isn't on the list, but they always play there since it's their "home town" venue.

I'll definitely hit that.

...maybe it's because I grew up mostly in the nineties, but I'm not exactly a Motley Crue fan.  But I do love Trapt, and if I were already at Crue Fest, I'd probably stick around for Papa Roach, too.

Never heard of Sixx:A.M., though.

I'm a child of the 80s and I'm going for nothing but Crue. I saw them in 1987 for the Girls, Girls, Girls tour with Whitesnake touring for their self-titled album (I still have that tour shirt) and I'd love to do a 21 year anniversary and bring my oldest son, who will be 15 by that time.

Seriously, how can anyone not have at least a little respect for a band who could put out so many songs like:

# "Shout at the Devil"
# "Looks That Kill"
# "Home Sweet Home
# "Smokin' In The Boys Room"
# "Girls, Girls, Girls"
# "Wild Side"
# "Dr. Feelgood"
# "Kickstart My Heart"

to name a few?

Holy crap, that thumbs-down in my last post was supposed to be a thumbs-up.  It's like it totally changes my tone.  I was going for "I'm lukewarm about Crue, but Trapt and Papa Roach are cool!"  And I think it may have come across as "If the best acts at this thing are Trapt and Papa Roach, it must suck."

That's not what I meant.  I meant no disrespect to Motley Crue.  I just wasn't giving them a whole lot of lovin'.

Only one I have coming up is LTE at NEARFest in Bethlehem.  I'm not exactly rolling in dough right now, so I can't really afford to go to very many concerts.  Though the LTE show should be pretty freakin awesome, and I'll get to see Fish and Peter Hammill also, which is cool (even though I'm not very familiar with their work)
