If you had to choose one rock song as being the best rock song ever, what would it be?

And let's take into consideration rock and every subgenre.

I have my choice but I'll hold it until I see a few replies.

off the top of my head I'd say Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi. This song was on my cd player when I was on a bus from Bethlehem, PA to New York City ten years ago. It was early morning and the sun just came up behind the Manhattan skyline which I then saw for the first time in my life and the whole scene was so beautiful and meaningful and the whole Bon Jovi thing just fitted that moment so perfectly. I'll never forget that.

I know I am famously indecisive on these topics, but I have an answer this time! (kinda). Righht now I am listening to "To live Forever" by DT off the 2003 taste the memories disc. I'm not saying it is the "best" rock song in history, but it is quite good, and there is a lot of improvisation going on. That said, while I could name a host of "great" rock songs, I don't think I could name the best. BUT I think musicians opperate the best when improvising (true musicians that is; don't ever let a band liek dragonforce improvise!) since that is when you play from your heart and soul. And for me, that is what resonates within you and really sticks with you; its like someone telling you about their life, only the music is doing the talking.

Bethlehem, PA

Oh, and to answer Dimitrius' question...I think I'm gonna have to go with either The Eagles' "Hotel California" or The Rolling Stones' "Angie."

For some reason, I feel weird nominating anything for Best Rock Song if it isn't at least twenty years old.

That reminds me, I found your pants in the fridge this morning.

I have no idea what just happened, but I can only assume that I was an indispensable contributor.

Ok, my choice, as cliché as it may be:

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

Top 3:

1.) "Dogs" - Pink Floyd
2.) "In the Evening" - Led Zeppelin
3.) "Combination" - Aerosmith
