I've noticed over the past year or so that there is a decent amount of love for this band on DTF, and I was wondering if anyone here is a fan.  I love their music... I think it's a unique combination of modern rock, classic rock, and progressive metal.  I also love the fact that their music isn't trying to be "hip" or "cool" and yet the youth of America seem to be embracing them regardless.  It's always nice to see a band with actual talent becoming popular.

They definitely are.  They've been getting better with every album, and they just released their fourth album last fall.

I've just started getting into them recently myself.  Its funny... about 5 or 6 years ago, one of my friends said something to me like 'Hey, you should check out this new band called "Coheed & Cambria."  If you like Dream Theater, you'll probably be into them."  I filed it away in the back of my head, but then ignored it up until very recently.

That was definitely a big mistake.

All their albums are tied together by a rather interesting concept.

Plus Claudio Sanchez's voice is probably the most fun to imitate.
