Wow I'm in here before Nick to post a topic about Rush.

How do you guys feel about them?  They are my favorite band, I love every era of their music... I'm in the midst of listening to all their albums, and this time I won't stop.

I think it is no secret that Rush are my all time favorite band and I can't wait to see them twice again when they come around this Summer.

Wait, WHAT?!

Okay, yeah, that probably wasn't as funny as I thought it would be.  So I've heard 2112 and Moving Pictures.  I still don't like Geddy's voice, but the music is still pretty good.  The song 2112 is pretty good, but my favorite songs so far are Twilight Zone and Tom Sawyer.  It might not be much to go on, but does the resident Rush enthusiast have any suggestions for which album I should check out next?

If you like Moving Pictures better than 2112, check out Permanent Waves or Signals.  If you like 2112 better, check out A Farewell to Kings.  Both are magnificent albums, however, so maybe you should check out them all.

Hmm...good advice.  I guess I'll try A Farewell to Kings next.  Thanks.

Awesome band. I hope I'll see them in concert before they end their career...

Same here. My friend handed me a copy of Snakes & Arrows this morning free of charge, he works for an English guitar magazine and they were giving them out at work this week. Has a DVD with it that I haven't checked out yet. Anyway, Rush. I have listened to several of their albums and Live In Rio just blows me away. It's one of the best live albums I've ever heard and really captures the live feel of it. Geddy's voice takes a bit of getting used to but I'm cool with it now.

Saw them for the first time live last summer and I would love to see them again this summer, but I can't afford $130 per ticket.

I am seeing them again in April. They put on one of the best shows I have ever seen.

VFS, my tickets were $75 each, unless you are buying 2?

Different prices at different venues. Philly is a buck thirty apiece for best seats, and I won't do lawn if I'm driving 8 hours roundtrip for a show.

I love Rush, they're one of the most influencial bands out there. I still remember when I heard YYZ and got blown away.

They're always in heavy rotation in my media player.

Lawn is great!
I did it for DT in Baltimore and had a blast (although that was only about a 5 hour drive).
Besides, do you really WANT to see Geddy Lee up close?

Absolutely! 7th row in front of Geddy last year with Nick and it was a blast!

Yeah, what a blast that was! Alex was a little low in the mix but otherwise the sound was fantastic. The energy was there, the crowd was into it, and we were SOOOO close, it was great!

Occasionally Iowa gets something good. Occasionally.

Iron Maiden and DT are a different story. /cry

Same. Mine is getting depressingly long seeing as so many of these bands come to England for only about 1 week per year

Snakes and Arrows, Moving Pictures and some greatest hits album is all that I have listened to so far, I'm starting to really like them but they haven't 'clicked' yet. I do recognise Neal Peart as being an eargasmic drummer though.

NP drum solo anyone?

I think my favorite Rush song is probably The Camera Eye, with Permanent Waves being my favorite album overall. (Natural Science is my second favorite song)
