Seriously awesome music. Into the Electric Castle, The Dream Sequencer, The Human Equation and 0101101 are all fantastic albums.

Arjen is a mastermind. I loved Human Equation (James LaBrie + Akerfeldt = Win), and I got really into 0101101. That album and Renkse vocals got me into Katatonia. Also liked hearing PoS singer there too.

There's no song like Day Twelve: Trauma

and I love them

I loved THE in the beginning, now I'm a bit bored by it... I have to be in a Ayreon-mood to listen to it, it often gets too cheesy for me Tongue But when I first listen to one of them (I have 4, I believe), I like it. Have to admire how he gets all those musicians/vocalists to join in and how good he makes them sound. (LaBrie on THE? WOW!)

Fiancé calls the new album OLOLLOL, by the way. Saw it in the record shop today, and we both went like "Oh, look, there's ollollollol, lol!"
..and people think we're weird?

The Human Equation is a masterpiece.  01011001 is so far my favorite album of 2008, and the only thing with a chance to dethrone it in the near future is O3 Pt 3 (I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, sadly).

Lucassen is a friggin' genius.  End of story.

Arjen Anthony Lucassen is my single favorite composer. End of Story.

The man has wrote such a range of awesome music, has brought the best out of so many musicians, has been so consistently good... he's just amazing.

I love The Human Equation.

As far as 10101001010100010101000 goes... I think he could've use less cheese.

I haven't yet really got into 01011001 yet, probably because of the lack of lots of familiar vocals, except the Katatonia guy. Still, I'm sure it's awesome, just my silly mind has not keyed into this fact yet Wink

(side note: The Human Equation is my favourite concept album ever.)

I love into the electric castle and the dream sequencer; I'm not too happy with the 0101101, but I guess I need to listen too it more often to get into it; but some o3pt3 keeps blocking my sound system all the time  Wink

There's no song like Day Twelve: Trauma

Quoted For Truth.

That song contains what is probably my favorite vocal moment EVER.  I love Akerfeldt's little harmony with himself near the beginning, right before breaking into the "You're Better Off DEAD!" growling.  Both beautiful and power.  And pretty badass, too.
