I see Avalon/Marquee is releasing Part 3 in Japan. Just curious if there will be any bonus material on this one like the demos on Part 2.

So true...Japanese market always get the extra goodies. Take Kamelot for example...so many limited edition japanese tracks....and Kamelot is just one of many. Really unfair for the rest of the world, imho.

Yeah, you guys always get screwed out of tours. That's why Dream Theater are about to play their millionth US leg for this tour, and have only played once in Australia ever  :dammitnick:

I know you might be upset over the comment, but there is a difference between the largest most powerful economy in the world, and Australia. Your country gets screwed because of geography and a thin population, something that no one can do anything about. Mine gets screwed over a lot because people's taste in music here just sucks big time.

Wasn't saying there wasn't a very good reason, but the end result is the same Sad

When is your birthday? Spose I could get a collection going on DTF to send you a box of Cookie Crisp for your birthday. Just gotta hope the dingo's at the post office don't get to it before it gets to you.

Nah, the kangaroos that deliver the mail are usually pretty good at keeping the dingoes away. Now if only the emus at the hospital could do as good a job keeping the dingoes away from the babies.....

Yeah, those poor babies. Sad

Well I suppose as long as you get your Cookie Crisp we can be thankful the dingos concentrate on the hospitals and not the mail-roos.

But don't you see? It's the dingoes fault we get screwed over for everything. Think about it - the dingoes eat all the babies, which is why our population remains so low, which is why nobody tours here. Sad

I would send him a box myself.  A friend of mine in England on the meniketti forum sent me Ribena one year for my birthday, and it was the coolest thing ever.

Exactly! That's one reason why Japan is getting NO bunus tracks this time

Besides, the Trilogy ends with this CD. Ther are no bunus tracks.
All they got last time was 2 demo tracks that were no big deal.

even though austria is a pretty civilized country, at least in terms of starbuckses :Smiley there are no cookies in cereals; maybe that's why I don't like cereals  ..

concerning the main subject of this thread: why do the japanese often get bonus material? is it about market share or something, or are they extra passionate ?! (actually, I figure they would)

I am equally confused xoxoch  Huh? Its not just a few bands that do it either, it seems that almost ALL bands put bonus tracks on for the Japanese crowd. I know that the japanese celebrate skill at anything, so with all of the great guitar players and great musicians in prog (it usually works out that nearly every member is a virtuoso of one kind or another) the touring is probably because of that. The bigger the crowds and fanbase the better right?

But as far as the tracks go, I have no clue. I've gathered that most bands actually don't want to do it; its usually pressure from the label that causes them to put on extra tracks. But I agree, why do THEY get the special attention?

Also, I'm Canadian, but I'm on the east coast so while we still get the same cereals as the rest of Canada, we don't get the same bands  Cry hardly ANYONE comes here. Though since the Rolling Stones came last year we have been getting slightly more bands I suppose, in fact Ozzy just came in January. But a Prog band has never come near here to my knowledge, and since we are not supposed to ask for requests to come to places, I am TOTALLY NOT asking Dominici to think about it  Kidding of course, I know its outside of a band's control usually. Looks like Autralia and Canada will have to go without  Sad No Kangaroos here to make the excuse though. . . maybe a fear of mounties? abominable snowmen? Igloos?

FYI! It is usually completely out of the bands control as to where they are going to play. We are like soldiers when it comes to touring. We get our orders and we carry them out, if we want to survive, that is. Of course, this might not apply when your name is "Metallica" or "The Rolling Stones" but not many bands have that kind of clout and artistic freedom. So asking bands to "Please come and play here" is kind of pointless, though it's nice to hear that you are wanted.

Yeah, that's why after I said that I was kidding I said that I knew it was pretty much out of your control. I know you guys would like to play lots of places and can't unfortunately. But yes, you are wanted! Sorry for any confusion Charlie
