At the Dream Theater forums, somebody decided to make it the CARE BEAR FORUMS for April Fool's, and now it's all in this glaringly obnoxious blue/purple/pink kind of color scheme.

Those of us with low HAPPY tolerance can't look at it for too long without our eyes starting to bleed.   Sad

me too. now i wish fiveeight would get back up because this april fools' joke of theirs is tedious.

Though it's funny, they go to dtf.org automatically to regroup, and i do like to see the old names and faces.

Be nice if some would make their way over here, but I'd have to make a forum called "wholly inappropriate" or something.

Well, Bacong is saying that it is legitimate. I guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

I'm happy to seeing old names from DT.net and/or DTF.com, I just hope we don't get a spam influx.

Ugh, too late.  There's already plenty of spam.

But the Care Bears thing was awesome.  It made me smile.  And I took a screenshot and saved it in my "funny pictures" folder.

I mean, seriously, something about the Majesty symbol below a Care Bears header is absolutely hilarious.

I guess it was to be expected, but I feel nostalgic seeing those names in DTF.

Nah, it's not spammy. They're all being really well behaved and respectful of the rules even though they're different.

It's like when kids go to grandma's house.. they might be a handful at home, but they respect grandma and behave there.. they just can't stay there TOO long or they get antsy.

I miss being one of those kids Smiley

They're not such a bad group, just have their own culture to the extent that either you get it or you don't, and if you don't it sure does seem offensive and ridiculous and hateful.

I guess i forgot that for a long time.

NO.  THEY'RE EVIL.

Well, there were a handful of spam threads last night that have since been locked.  So I guess it wasn't that big of a deal.  But it seems like most of the people I didn't like wound up going to 5/8 when the last incarnation of DTF split.  So I'm not a huge fan of all those people coming back for a visit all at the same time.   Cheesy

I actually think the culture over there evolved quite a bit over the past year.  The 5/8 that existed a week ago was definitely not the same 5/8 that existed 10 months ago.

All I know is that thread has me more tense than I've been in a long time. It's good to see some old faces, but there are a lot of trolls and people I don't like at 5/8, and the sooner I don't have to see them again the better. Emotions are flaring, and it will just be good again once the two communities have two forums again. Hopefully if nothing else this episode will just cause some of the better 5/8 posters to stay around DTF more.
