Since we hijacked the hell out of the other thread, I think I will move it here.

We will be meeting before and after both shows for the Terminal 5 gigs.

Place: Iguana nyc (mexican themed bar with great drinks)

I'm in for both nights. First night I'll be heading to this with Axeman and 2nd night I'll probably be hanging out with Zero pre-meetup.

Won't be able to make any pre-show meetups, but maybe I can do something post-show on Thursday night.

Excellent, thats' what I like to hear. Any advice on hotels nearby? I am clueless about stuff like that but closer is better, it becomes a nightmare and a real hassle to have to move around too much once in the city, I've noticed (obviously a total city noob still).

people think I'm crazy cause I'm going to new york just to see a dream theater show. but this is gonna be so much worth it; they just don't really understand that there's a lot more to prog than just listening to some impersonal stuff on the radio. (I don't wanna know how much time and money I've spent on going to shows (not only dt) all over the place  )

secondly there's the treat of visiting new york city; I haven't been there for like 10 years so there's gonna be some serious sightseeing & shopping involved.. and meeting you guys will top it all

If you're getting some sight-seeing and shopping in, I really might need to beg my way into some of that.

I'm geographically and directionally challenged... I cannot find my way to my own bathroom if you point in the opposite direction and tell me it's over THERE... I'll just get lost.

I know.... I tried explaining this to people when we were all in the city for Symphony X I believe and everyone just stared at me and insisted on being freaked out by being in NYC

New York has gotta be one of the easiest cities to navigate.
If you want confusing cities, try finding your way around Boston or DC.

I can't actually make the meetup myself, so feel free to take over.
I mostly just started that up as a roll call thread to see who else was going.
